Long nuts or Connecting nuts, otherwise referred to as coupling nuts or extension nuts, are for the joining of two male threads – and most commonly all thread full threaded rods. The outside of the nut is usually a hexagon, enabling a hexagon wrench to rotate it. There are finishes such as hot dip galvanizing and zinc plating available, alongside just a self-color option.
